Swiss cardiologist elected chairman of the Europen Society of Cardiology (ESC) congress programme committee

Prof. Marco Roffi, vice-chairman of cardiology and director of the interventional cardiology unit at the University Hospital of Geneva (HUG) has been appointed chairman of the 2019 (Paris) and 2020 (Amsterdam) congresses of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC). He will share this responsibility with Prof. ­Silvia Priori from Pavia, Italy. With more than 32 000 attendees from 156 countries, the ESC meeting is the largest worldwide in the cardio­vascular field.
